This is the image I am beginning with. It is actually an image I created a few years ago. This image is a part of a PowerPoint presentation on literary elements that I use at the beginning of the year for my ninth grade students. This should be a review for them. Looking at the image now, I know that they are many improvements needed. I am excited to make it better.

Hi Dawn,
Good start. I could understand the level of events that began with the stimulation and ended with the climax by using the plot line here. The emotion went up to the peak point and then down to the bottom. However, although the graph you used was good to express the word of “Climax,” I think the way it looks has lack of some emotions.
Since your learners are ninth grade students, using the "emoticons" on each stage to express those feelings would be a better way to make this plot line lively and catch your learners’ attentions. Starting with the picture of a book and pen at the beginning of this step, it would imply to learners that we are going to write the story.
Moreover, I believe that applying the shades of color might be another option to create a fine hierarchy. For example, red might be good for representing the tone of feeling. Before applying the color, you might need to divide this image into two parts, left and right; the climax is the middle point of this picture.
Then, you apply the shade of red from left to right, starting with the 20% red on Exposition/Background, 40% red on Rising action, 60% red on Tension line, 80% red on Conflict and 95% red on half of Turning point, and 100% red on Climax.
For the Falling action part, you could apply the same shade of red from 95% 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% red all the way down to Resolution.
I'm not sure whether it would help you or not. Also, I’m sorry for my poor English, if it might make you confused.
